A game about beekeeping, magic, and providing light for your community.

-----------------
Introduction:
Sunlight Remembered is a game about a town that can't see the sky. They're dependent on a Keeper (the player) to use bio-luminescent bees and a hexagon-based runic language to create lanterns.

Long ago, this world used to have sunlight, but it hasn't for generations. Bees, however, exist as part of a hive, and the mythology of this town holds that the hive has a collective memory that far outlives any individual bee or human. Thus, when magic is used to create the lanterns, it is believed that the light is a manifestation of 'remembered sunlight'.

-----------------
Controls:

- Mainly mouse clicks - any icons surrounded by hexagons are buttons.
- ESC clears the currently held item, if there is one.

-----------------
Instructions:

- Place different types of flowers in hexagonal patterns (Runes) around the Hive.
- The trowel can be used to remove flowers you have already placed.
- The Codex has a list of Runes for reference.
- Use the 'Next' button to advance time and let the bees make Honey out of your current setup.
- Produced Honey can be placed to the sides of the table to customise the scene.
- When you go to the map, produced Honey can be sold to different houses in town.  All unsold Honey is cleared away.
- Return to the table to make more.

-----------------
Important Notes:

- The type of flower doesn't matter; only the shapes! Different flowers are provided to allow different Runes to be next to each other without becoming one larger shape.
- Honey is only made when a single hexagon (a Honey Rune) has at least one adjacent Rune of any other type. For instance, the most basic honey can be created with a Honey Rune adjacent to a Basic Rune.

Design, Programming, and Art (in a loose sense of the word) by Matthew Marsland

Created as a late submission to MiniJam 150, my first game jam. The theme was Magic, and the limitation was Light Is The Way, which I decided to interpret as 'Creating (magical) light is the way you help your community'. Unfortunately I am 48h past the deadline - I reached a point where I wanted it to be closer to my vision more than I wanted it to be done on time.

Thanks to the various people in my life who have let me ramble on about this project over the past week, you're very appreciated!
